This version keeps the flavors of the traditional treat while adding protein, fiber, and staying power through Greek yogurt and chia seeds. It's a snack, breakfast, or dessert that feels satisfying while still honoring the original inspiration.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/4 cup oats

  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Cinnamon for topping

  • 1/3 cup milk

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, chia seeds, oats, vanilla extract, and vanilla whey protein powder if using.

  2. Stir until smooth. If the mixture becomes too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk.

  3. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes so the chia seeds can absorb some liquid.

  4. Layer the yogurt mixture and strawberries in a serving glass or bowl.

  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy.
